History and origins
Heritage introductions date the temple’s origins to the reign of Trần Duệ Tông. The story of auspicious clouds connected with the name Tường Vân is a local legend. The temple became a National Relic in 2009; on 11 October 2026 it held the inauguration of several building projects together with a patriarchal death-anniversary observance.
Architecture & surroundings
The buildings follow the rising ground toward the mountain, from the gate and courtyard to the shrines. The gateway has multiple roof tiers and arched openings; the grounds include an ancestral hall and facilities for study and practice. Trees and the mountain slope give the temple its distinctive setting.
Cultural value
Tường Vân preserves memories of Buddhism and past dynasties in the Vĩnh Lộc region. Honouring patriarchs, Buddhist study and practice, and community assistance continue the temple’s role in local life.
Events & festivals
The patriarchal death-anniversary ceremony and inauguration of building works were held on 11 October 2026. This is a past event; please consult temple announcements for future ceremonies.
